SO your new year’s resolution is to start getting active! Bored of the gym routine and four walls ? Want to be in the outdoors and enjoy the weather this time of the year… sounds great BUT… there isn’t really sports wear that caters to hijab wearers or modest styles.  We constantly have to work with the layering or really search around for that long comfortable sports top that is always impossible to find when you’re looking for one.  Friniggi is an athletic, outdoor, active, health conscious. modest loving woman’s dream come true!! Meet Ameera Jane*.

Ameera Jane is an aspiring filmmaker who dreams of making epic movies with an Islamic theme. She loves iced lattes and sunflowers. She also loves the outdoors, taking every opportunity to go hiking with friends. Ameera Jane is a fantastic tennis player and if film-making wasn’t her first love, she’d be on her way to becoming a prize-winning player.

Valuing her Islamic modesty, she always covers herself accordingly whether out hiking a new trail with friends or meeting with them over coffee. She’s the only hijabee in her circle of friends but she doesn’t mind, she knows what’s important to her and that’s all that matters.

friniggi Sportswear is all about someone like Ameera Jane. The Western Muslim Woman, whether she’s born and raised in the west or is ethnically western. Someone like you. The West doesn’t have women-only facilities like Muslim-oriented countries do. We run in the open streets amid traffic, play football on community sports fields and take walks on the beach. While doing all these activities we need to cover in a way that appeals to our western taste.

Unlike many other sportswear aimed at Muslim women, friniggi sportswear is focused on your athletic performance, whether you’re a professional or playing for fun. We’re also not just about covering your body. We are well past that. Just like you are. We are about sports and your athletic experience. Just like you.
