Before I left for my summer vacation, I got to go visit the lovely Saffaron in the heart of Muharraq Souq.  Saffaron is the sister cafe of the well known delicious Jena Bakery in Hamala.  The place is run and owned by my friend Narise Kamber who has a passion for food, love for her beloved Bahrain and a soul of an angel.

Saffaron is a must go to place.  You will be whisked back to the days of old Bahrain, eat a traditional Bahraini brekkie (delicious!!!) and feel the true essence of Bahraini warmth and hospitality.  Yes all under one little cosy roof! The premises is situated on a historical site where an old “Madbasa” is located under the ground. More info on that below.
