I love sunglasses!! I have so many ranging from designer, vintage to highstreet ones.  Now a days I am often on the look out for affordable sunnies that are funky, good quality and can spice up an outfit without breaking my heart if disaster happens.  Being a mum I have had way too many expensive designer sunnies smashed, sat on, broken by my little ones.  I have to be practical and look for ones that give me the same criteria but at a great price point (bd60-80/average DHS.700)!   Last week OPTICA formerly known as Bahrain Opticians gifted me with a lovely, trendy 60s inspired cat eye VOGUE sunglasses.  The fit was perfect and right on time for summer!! I must admit that I have never tried VOGUE sunglasses before but after viewing their collection it will definitely be one that I would go back to!

Below are some of my VOGUE sunnies picks (yes, some are from the men’s collection but I WOULD still wear them ).  I love the black aviator ones at the bottom from the men’s collection, will go try them out.

With every purchase of Vogue eyewear  from May 23rd until June 14th Optica customers exclusively receive free Bourjois makeup (nail polish and eyeliner).

Thank you Optica! Love ’em!

When I first moved to Bahrain I was desperate to find somewhere where I could go and learn artsy, craftsy stuff.  I had no idea where to look or go until a friend of mine (Shout out to Marwa!!) mentioned she does scrapbooking and told me to come and try it out! I have never looked back and I love her for taking me to this place which has turned into my little sanctuary.  Celebrations is a lovely quaint little shop that sells so much art supplies it’ll make any art lover drool and upstairs tucked away is where all the classes take place.

Celebrations will be holding a ‘Week of Workshops’ that you shouldn’t miss- from  the 20th of June – the 30th of June 2012.

Join local artists as well as Dubai artist, Jing Von Opstal for an exciting week of workshops in Copic Pen Graphics, Mixed Media Art Decoupage, Beading and the latest techniques in Mixed Media Scrapbooking.

Join Celebrations for a fun filled week of workshops celebrating their 20 years in Business.  Lots of local and unique handmade gifts available too.

Charm Ever After – is a unique concept to the Middle East where a bunch of really talented people joined together to showcase their own speciality in forms of imagery and video by telling a story.  This story is about a young couple in love on the day they start their forever.  The photos are breathtaking and makes me want to be a bride all over again (to my husband ofcourse 😉 ) and the video will have you dreaming… sigh… take a look and see for yourself! Even though they are acting; don’t the “bride” and “groom” look perfect together!!

I love ASOS! It is always a pleasure going through their website and bagging all the stuff I want in my shopping cart and causing damage to my credit card! The other day I was browsing through their site when I came across this collection under ASOS SALON and fell in love with every single piece!!!!! It’s as if someone popped into my head and managed to sketch all the lovely dresses I had in my mind and dreams.  I’m a vintage-aholic and the beauty of  this collection is that they are all vintage inspired and smack on trend with it’s neon and bright colours.

“Feminine and frivolous, our ASOS SALON collection takes inspiration from vintage style, with beautiful appliqué finishes, floral shapes and a palette of sugary, ice-cream shades shot through with bold pops of neon colour. ASOS Salon offers a covetable capsule collection of occasion wear pieces with a ladylike aesthetic”
