preta a prier

PRET A PRIER is a super awesome product that is practical for all muslim women whether you cover or not.  Translated in french, Pret a Prier simply means ready to pray.  It is a carry along prayer gown aimed at making it easy for you to stop and pray anywhere and anytime.    This compact pouch 20cm pouch opens up into a 5m fabric praying gown. It will fit in your bag and comes in a variety of stylish, fun prints enabling you to pray on the go.

This is a perfect  ramadan gift to give to your friends and family and just great for the holidays too!!  Imagine being able to gift someone the ease and comfort of being able to pray anywhere; that’s priceless! I cannot wait to get my hands on this product.  Pret a prier’s site is under construction but in the mean time you can find them on Abaya Addict, Sauce Shops in Dubai, Boom and Mellow and Galaries Lafayette at the Dubai Mall.

deep blue

I love my Deep Blue Rub by doTerra.  Not only does it smell wonderful but it really helps sore muscles, joints, injuries and strains.  Last week I had a  pain on the side of my abdomen which would suddenly throb periodically throughout the day.  This lasted a couple of days and I had tried a few things but nothing worked.  I had just received my doTerra order and it was perfect timing to receive this cream.  I applied it in the afternoon and instantly started to feel relief.  I am not sure what I did to cause the pain; but by the end of the day I didn’t feel a thing.   This week  I managed to hurt my knee while working out ! ( i’m not accident prone .. honest) and again my Deep Blue Rub is my treatment of choice for the next few days.

dōTERRA®’s Deep Blue® Rub is a rich, topical cream infused with Deep Blue Soothing Blend of Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils that provides targeted comfort to tired and sore joints and muscles. Formulated with a proprietary blend of natural plant extracts and other powerful ingredients, Deep Blue Rub provides a comforting sensation of cooling and warmth to problem areas. With close to 5 ml of dōTERRA’s top-selling Deep Blue essential oil blend of wintergreen, camphor, peppermint, blue tansy, German chamomile, helichrysum, and osmanthus, Deep Blue Rub is an essential addition to your bathroom cabinet, gym bag, or first aid kit. Deep Blue Rub is blended in a base of moisturizing emollients that leave your skin feeling soft, not greasy and is the choice of massage therapists and sports practitioners for applying dōTERRA’s Deep Blue essential oil blend.”

“Don’t try to fix it. I just need you to listen.” Every man has heard these words. And they are the law of the land. No matter what.

Enjoy 🙂

my oilsHere is just a snippet of my doTerra Oils (how do you like my little travel bag kit I made?:))

It is beyond crazy that it has taken me 2 years to write this post! There’s a few reasons why it has taken me so long. Firsly I wanted to make sure that I really did believe in the stuff.  Secondly; I fell so deeply passionately in love with the oils that with so much to say about them, I had no idea where to even begin.  I am going to make this post brief because I have decided that I will need to keep posting about these oils and the benefits of each etc. so a short post here as an intro should suffice.  For those of you who are new to the blog, I am BIG on natural home remedies.  I clean my home with natural products and my go to meds are always my homeopathic remedies and now my MUST HAVE oils.  I used to eye doTerra and wonder whether it actually lived up to the hype.  I watched the youtube videos and I read all the posts.  I believed in the concept and hoped that it could deliver it’s high quality oils as it claimed. The cookbook is a collection of recipes gathered from parents and teachers at Jumeira Baccalaureate School in Dubai. The idea started as a group of friends sharing food, and evolved into an exquisite book filled with recipes from all around the world. The cookbook, which is expected to inspire people of all ages, comprises over 150 recipes, and saw people sharing recipes that have been part of their families for generations.

Producing this book aims to support Dubai Cares, the UAE based philanthropic organization that is close to the parents’ hearts. The parents are blessed with happy, healthy and well fed children and therefore the aim was to find a charity that improves the lives of children who are not as fortunate.

Mrs Si Youcef, one of the founders of the cookbook said: “Creating the cookbook involved hard work such as preparing the food, styling, photography, graphic design and editing. In spite of this, it has been an absolute joy putting together this precious book, especially knowing that children, just like our own, somewhere in the world, will benefit. It would not have been possible without all of the recipe contributors and advertisers.”

What is it with sports and dressing women in the skimpiest outfits ever designed? I am all for fashion, style etc but when it comes to sports it annoys me! Whether it is tennis, beach volleyball, running etc.. Men are wearing decent clothing where as the women are in less to nothing.  The outfits leave nothing to the imagination.  It just gets shorter and skimpier.  We are in an age where women compete against men in everything from the workplace to sports and fight for equality.  How can one ask for equal rights and at the same time be used as a sex symbol on the court.
