If you are in Riyadh or planning on going there, there is an exhibition taking place there that you will NOT want to miss.  Chances are after reading what i’m about to tell you you may possibly even schedule a trip just to be there.  There is a wonderful 4 day event taking place in April showcasing designers of the region! Riyadh Fashion Days is hosted by non other than Maison Bo-M this fashion studded event will sure be a hit! Here is more about it below

Maison Bo-M Galeries presents Riyadh Fashion Days, a new creative platform to support up and coming talents from the Region. The new venue, located in Nojoud Mall next to the Intercontinental hotel is a fantastic destination for visitors and exhibitors, offering a 400m2 space with ceiling hanging facilities, sky light, terrace, parking and security.

Riyadh, with its population of 6.7 million, is one of the youngest (51% is less then 25 years old and average age is 22) and fastest growing city in the Middle East.

Moreover, the young generation is keen on using all the new social media and is constantly looking for unique and creative designs that are not available in Riyadh.

Therefore, Maison Bo-M Galeries wants to give the opportunity to new talents that are not yet represented in Riyadh to meet the Riyadh clientele, get to know their fashion taste, look and find a great door to sell their collection.

The R.F.D will showcase a selective product range including women ready to wear (chic and casual), luxury kaftans, leather goods and fashion accessories.

Let’s get together and celebrate the Fashion Stars of Tomorrow!

May Jewelry is another brand that will be taking part at the Pretty Little Things event in Kuwait.  Her jewelry is beautiful, modern and proudly embraces arabic letters and calligraphy as part of design.  I love it because I love anything with arabesque design but these are soo pretty and make lovely unique gifts (especially the double ring rings)! I know what I will be getting my  hubby for his birthday; those gorgeous cufflinks!

*wishlist for me: the double ring “meem” ❤

Which is your favorite?

You can pop by and see the collection at the Pretty Little Things event on these dates:

House 16, Villa Mini Boutiques, Adaliya Block 2, Abdullah Al-Hajeri Street. Kuwait.

About the Designer

May has a visual admiration for beautifully designed objects. Her interests are in prints, paintings and photography. She first started designing jewelry in 2007. At first there were a few pieces custom designed for family and friends. And now her beautifully designed pieces can be enjoyed by every one.
May Al Qassar has a BFA in Communication Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.”In my eyes, the simpler the jewelry design the more personal it becomes.  Because beauty does not lay in the piece itself but gains it from the person it adorns.  And the more one wears it the more beautiful it becomes.” – May

I was going to wait till tomorrow to post this…. but I couldn’t they are just sooooooo beautiful not to share even though just a few mins after the prior post on Sotra.  Did I mention I am loving Sotra? I ❤ turbans but these are on the top of my list!!!! I want to wear one and get all Jackie-O and get these shots ideally in a 1960s merc convertible… not too much to ask for eh?;) Now to get my hands on one … that is my mission…

I came across this fashion label born and sold in Jeddah! Sotra’s style is feminine, modern, elegant and just so pretty to look at! What I like about their designs is that they can customize it to make it hejab friendly too. Below are some of my favorites from their Fall/Winter 2011 looks, but I will be posting more of their previous collections too just coz theyre soo pretty!!

About Sotra:

Sotra started as a bold fashion idea with humble beginnings of designs on a dining room table. Now it has successfully placed itself among the most popular local brands with a shop located in one of the trendiest malls in Jeddah. Clothing pieces ranging from smart casual attire to evening wear are created for the all-modern woman. The realization manifested itself through tantalizing textile, calm colors and dreamy designs that came together with the vivid vision of modernizing the classic. In every piece great thought is put in flattering femininity, and aesthetic creation and lavish style with dire attention to detail. Sotra targets the high end of the market, for anyone with appreciation to art woven into life.
